Moon Falls

Moon Falls is on Alex Creek in the Layng Creek watershed, west of Cottage Grove, Oregon.  It's about 100 ft.  Pretty easy to get to, about a mile hike from parking.  It was pretty wet and muddy when we were there yesterday.

A beautiful afternoon on the Oregon coast.

Just a pleasant walk on the beach in January.  It was beautiful, warm and without wind!  I forgot how nice the Oregon coast can be winter.

The Lost Town of Wendling, Ore.

These photos were taken late Spring, 2010.  This was one of the brief breaks in the incessant rains this year.  Wendling was a large logging town that was built up around a mill in the Mohawk valley, northeast of Marcola.  It was abandoned and demolished in the 1940's and is now a tree farm.
